Below, you'll find more of the 'great names' that are in the Quarter Horse [& Thoroughbred] industry. You'll also find them [repeatedly] in Cloughrinka pedigrees.

[Sorry but, unlike some of the previous pages, these horses aren't listed in any particular order. I'm working on it!]

Scarlet Imp

Scarlet Imp
The Pimpernel(Tb) -Pavot (Tb)  X  My Brandy - Firebrand Reed
1967; AQHA - 7,964

Unlike many of the horses on these pages, I actually knew Imp. Owned in his later years by Al & Pat Cundiff of Columbia, KY, [the folks who had 'Horse Country' magazine] Imp was beautiful & balanced. One of our best broodmares, The Irish Empress, is his granddaughter 2X2.

Before anyone asks, there is no relation to Impressive. Actually, he was born before Impressive. Imp's sire, The Pimpernel (Tb) was a speed horse, setting the world's record for 4.5 furlongs at Belmont Park.

His dam, My Brandy, was a top producing mare by Firebrand Reed [Joe Reed II - Joe Reed X Little Fanny - Joe Reed] & out of My Mistake [Question Mark - Plaudit X Moss Wallis Warfield - Kid Hargrove (Tb)].

Scarlet Imp, SI 88, was an AQHA Champion. He was the sire of Superior Halter horse, Scarlet Irishman [inbred to My Brandy 2X2] as well as multiple show & race ROMs.
